"I took the team to a rowing day in Cambridge. A day away from the routine of the office, but with a particular angle: rowing in a boat of 8 requires synchronised movements and rewards a collective momentum rather than individual strength or what we call performance. It was amazing to feel and hear the sounds of the boat as it accelerates on water and gets to a stable speed when we reach that "moment" where we all rowed in sync. A sensory experience on a river in Cambridge and a feeling of satisfaction when “we are there”.
That turned out to be a quintessential team building event. As challenging as it can be to find a good event where hopefully everybody takes something away for themselves and from each other, I’m grateful that everyone played along and special kudos to Cambridge Rowing Ltd for helping out on the water."

"The CRE team make what many people see as quite an exclusive pastime accessible and fun, even for people who have never rowed before. Everything was explained clearly and time was taken to explain the basics of rowing technique and boat control prior to getting on the river. Eight person boats means it not all down to you but working together is the key to success.
